Mild quake rocks Surigao

MANILA, Philippines - A magnitude-3.8 earthquake rattled Surigao del Norte yesterday but caused no damage to properties or loss of lives.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said the tremor occurred at 7:18 a.m. with its epicenter traced at 13 kilometers southwest of Malimono, where it was felt at Intensity 3.
Phivolcs said although the quake was weak, it was was felt by many, particularly those in upper floors of buildings.
Seismologists said no aftershocks were expected from the tremor.
