Roxas’ aide named OIC of W. Visayas police
MANILA, Philippines - The executive assistant of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Mar Roxas was designated as officer in-charge of the Police Regional Office 6 in Western Visayas.
Chief Superintendent Josephus Angan replaced Chief Superintendent Agrimero Cruz Jr., who was relieved from the post after 30 of his men were found to have altered the crime statistics.
Angan’s appointment took effect on Dec. 11.
Although the order said he was assigned at the Office of the Chief PNP, reports said Angan was detailed at Roxas’ office.
Angan, of the Philippine Military Academy Class ‘84, was the head of the Capiz provincial police office from 2008 to 2010.
Cruz was reassigned to the Office of the Chief PNP.
