4 security men in Taguig hurt in barangay hall attack

MANILA, Philippines - Four security personnel of Barangay Upper Bicutan in Taguig City were hurt after eight unidentfied men attacked their barangay hall early Thursday.

According to a report reaching the Southern Police District, the eight unidentified men, who were armed with pistols, barged into the barangay hall at about 5:40 a.m.

Police said the suspects fired several shots inside the barangay hall and pistol-whipped the security personnel identified as Bilona Oposs, Lazardo Pica, Domer Riego and Imelda Reyes.

The victims were on duty at the barangay hall when the attack happened.

Police said the suspects fled after the attack. Investigators are still determining the motive for the attack.
