Quakes hit Leyte, Davao Sur

MANILA, Philippines - A magnitude-3.6 quake shook Capoocan town and Ormoc City in Leyte, while a magnitude-4.2-tremor was recorded in Davao del Sur yesterday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.

The quake in Capoocan occurred at 1:01 p.m. with its epicenter traced some four kilometers southwest of the town. It was felt at Intensity II in Ormoc City .

The tremor in Davao del Sur was recorded at 9:08 a.m., the Phivolcs said.
