PDEA nabs traffic enforcer in Pangasinan drug bust
MANILA, Philippines - Anti-narcotics agents nabbed a traffic enforcer after being caught selling illegal drugs during a buy-bust operation in Pangasinan, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency said on Friday.
PDEA director general Arturo Cacdac Jr. said Christopher Villa, 37, was arrested by authorities during a sting operation in Calasiao, Pangasinan last Nov. 24.
Reports said that around 9:59 a.m., combined elements of PDEA Regional Office 1 and Calasiao Police Station arrested Villa after he sold a transparent plastic sachet containing methamphetamine hydrochloride, locally known as shabu, to an undercover PDEA agent who acted as a poseur-buyer.
After further search, operatives confiscated from Villa’s possession two pieces of plastic sachets containing suspected shabu and the P500 bill used as buy-bust money.
Authorities will be filing drug raps against Villa.
