Robber takes 2 kids, nanny hostage
CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna , Philippines – A man reportedly took two girls and their nanny hostage after he was caught robbing the victims’ house in Bacoor City, Cavite Sunday night.
Jennifer Neri, 19, reportedly managed to escape from the robber who held her and her wards – Angelarey Lara, six, and her sister Abjul, three – captive for an hour, according to Senior Superintendent Joselito Esquivel, Cavite police director.
Neri told police that the robber entered their house at Springville Heights in Barangay Molino and took a laptop computer at about 6:35 p.m. She said the suspect was about to leave when he saw her.
Responding policemen found the two girls in one of the rooms of the Lara residence, but failed to catch the robber, who fled.
As of press time, police were still investigating the alleged incident.
