MANILA, Philippines - Classes in elementary and high school in nine municipalities in Cebu have been suspended until Friday to give way to the repair of the schools damaged by Super Typhoon Yolanda, the Department of Education (DepEd) said.
Gov. Hilario Davide III ordered the suspension of classes in the municipalities of Sogod, Borbon, Tabogon, San Remegio, Medellin, Daanbantayan, Madridejos, Santa Fe and Bantayan from Nov. 11 to 15.
Cebu, along with the province of Bohol, is still reeling from the effects of a magnitude 7.2 quake that hit Central Visayas on Oct. 15.
Reports said Bohol, which also suffered the brunt of Yolanda, has been without power and water since Saturday night.
