Task force to probe village exec’s killing

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga , Philippines    – Police have formed a special task force to investigate the killing of a newly elected barangay councilman in Pilar town in Bataan last Wednesday.

In a text message to The STAR, Senior Superintendent Audie Atienza, provincial police director, said the Special Investigation Task Group Dalisay was composed of personnel from the provincial investigation and crime laboratory offices and the Pilar police.

The task group will look into the motive for the killing of Randy Dalisay, 42, a newly elected barangay councilman of Barangay Diwa.

Atienza said the killing was not related to politics.

Dalisay was walking home when he was shot by two motorcycle-riding men in Barangay Diwa. He was declared dead on arrival at the Bataan General Hospital in Balanga City due to 13 gunshot wounds.

Police recovered from the crime scene 15 bullet shells from a caliber .45 pistol.
