MANILA, Philippines - Two persons died after a passenger bus fell into a ravine in Carranglan, Nueva Ecija early Wednesday.
Police identified the fatalities as Christine Compalas, 37 and Jennifer Payupo, 18.
Investigators said that the driver of the bus fell asleep while driving along a highway in Barangay Capintalan. The bus was bound for Manila from Tuguegarao.
The bus driver has been taken into police custody.
