Gunmen snatch businessman, 3 others in Sulu

ZAMBOANGA CITY - Unidentified gunmen in fatigue uniforms abducted a four people, including a businessman, in Sulu province on Tuesday night.

Col. Jose Joriel Cenabre, commander of the 2nd Marine Brigade and Task Force Sulu, identified the victims as businessman Saladin Teo, Qurliang Ngo, Abswan Hawan and Nal Joe.

Cenabre said that at least 20 gunmen snatched the victims from Teo's house in Barangay North Laud, siasi town at around 6:30 p.m.

The gunmen dragged the four victims into a waiting speedboat and sped off towards the east direction from the island town.

Cenabre said police and military teams were able to recover Hawan and Joe in Barangay Tagbak in nearby Indanan town.

Search and rescue operations for the two remaining victims were ongoing.
