Promoted posthumously to the next higher rank were Police Inspector Jay Oy-Oyan, PO3 Murphy Abbilani, PO2 Lawin Salisa, PO2 Enrique Afable III, and PO2 Christopher Hernaez.

The orphaned families of the slain police officers also got checks representing death benefits consisting of P250,000 from the President’s Social Fund, PNP Special financial assistance equivalent to six month pay and allowances ranging from P141,000 up to P181,000 each,  burial benefits of not less than P50,000 each and gratuity of at least P203,000 each from the National Police Commission.

Each orphaned family will receive roughly between P1.5 and P2 million, on top of the estimated P15,000 monthly lifetime pension from the PNP and roughly the same amount of pension for five years from the Napolcom.
