MANILA, Philippines - The number of the persons arrested for violating the Commission on Elections gun ban in connection with the Oct. 28
The Philippine National Police on Wednesday reported that a total of 205 people have been apprehended for violating the nationwide gun ban.
Of the figure, the PNP said 190 were civilians, three were policemen, a soldier, two government officials and nine security guards.
Authorities also reported that law enforcers confiscated a total of 167 various firearms since the implementation of the gun ban last Sept. 28.
Policemen seized around 10 gun replicas, 57 bladed weapons, 12 grenades and 1,303 assorted ammunition.
The Comelec-imposed gun ban will take effect until Nov. 12.
