PNR train kills woman, 69, in CamSur

LEGAZPI CITY, Philippines – A 69-year-old woman died hours after she was hit the other day by a Philippine National Railways (PNR) train in Milaor, Camarines Sur, police said.

PO1 Jess Agara of Naga City said the victim, Visitacion Aquino was walking beside the railroad track when the train driven by one Winston Garsa hit her, cutting off her left arm and inflicting her with fatal injuries.

The old woman was rushed to the Bicol Medical Center in Naga City but she died three hours later.

Police have taken Garsa in their custody pending the filing of appropriate charges against him.

Aquino was the third fatality in train accidents in Camarines Sur this year.
