The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Fire struck a portion of the Palacio Del Gobernador in Intramuros, Manila Saturday noon.

The fire started at the building at about 12:13 p.m.

Several offices of the Commission of Elections (Comelec) are housed inside the building.

"Fire at the Palacio del Gobernador was on the sixth floor. Not Comelec, contrary to early fears. The fire has been put out," Jimenez said in his Twitter account.

Manila Fire Department Senior Fire Officer 1 Raul Angeles said the fire reached the first alarm before it was placed under control at 12:20 p.m.

No was hurt nor killed in the blaze.
