Call center firm eyes base in Ilocos Norte

LAOAG CITY , Philippines   â€“ A call center holding company is expanding its operations by establishing a base in this northern city to be beefed up by 600 call center and management personnel.

The Ilocos Norte Communications and Media Office said the Expert Global Solutions (EGS), a holding company for two business process outsourcing firms, has so far hired 63 local talents in its ongoing recruitment drive.

The recruits will undergo training with pay at the EGS’ Philippine office in Clark, Pampanga. 

Gov. Imee Marcos welcomed the EGS decision to set up a base here. “The real product of Ilocos Norte is its people with their spirit of intrepidness and entrepreneurship, one that lends itself to information and communications technology and the exciting new world of digital media,” she said.
