Indian national dead in ambush in Ilocos Sur

BAGUIO CITY, Philippines  – An Indian national was ambushed and killed Tuesday along the national highway in barangay Lang-ayan, Currimao town in Ilocos Norte.

Jaswinder Singh, 38, a resident of Barangay Cangrunaan, Batac City was on his way to Ilocos Sur aboard a car with his cousin -- Amarinder Singh – at around 11 a,m. Tuesday when gunmen riding a motorcycle opened fire.

Singh who was rushed to the nearest hospital in Batac City bored multiple bullet wounds on his body while his cousin was unhurt.

The identity of the suspects and the motive of the attack are still being determined by the police.
