Pampanga robbery victim dies

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga, Philippines â€“ A man, wounded in a robbery that left six members of his household dead in the city of San Fernando Friday night died while undergoing treatment at the Sacred Heart Medical Center in Angeles City yesterday.

Nicolas Edejer, 42, of Molave Street, L & Subdivision, Barangay Telabastagan, died at about 5 a.m., according to provincial police director Senior Superintendent Oscar Albayalde.

The six other victims – Corazon Edejer, 47; Kenneth Nolan Edejer, 19, and their helpers Teresita Camiling, 40; Benigno Ingar Jr., 52; Nelson Dominico, 17, and a certain Kakay, 27 – died on the scene from gunshots to the head, he said.

As this developed, the Special Investigation Task Group (SITG) Edejer said they are set to open a vault left in a kitchen by the robbers who took it down from the second floor of the house.

“We would like to know what’s inside the safety vault,” the task group said adding they are hoping to find a lead from the vault that could solve the case.

Nicolas was a supplier of fish in several markets in Pampanga. The task group has invited several persons for questioning.

The suspects fled in a vehicle owned by the Edejers. The vehicle was recovered in Barangay Balas, Concepcion, Tarlac.
