Sino mining exec found dead

CAMARINES NORTE, Philippines  â€“ A Chinese executive of a mining firm was found dead inside the company premises in Jose Panganiban town Thursday morning.

Alex Lai, assistant operation officer, was found by the security personnel inside the staff house of the Investwell Mineral Development Corp. in Barangay Larap.

Chief Inspector Juanco Ibis, town police commander, said Lai was last seen lighting a cigarette inside the company at about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The following day, security guard Alejandro Alcana informed his superior, Armando Talento, that Lai had not come out of the staff house prompting them to check on him.
