DTI issues SRP for basic goods in Zambo City

Louella Desiderio - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) has issued suggested retail prices (SRP) for basic commodities in Zamboanga City following reports of scarce supply there amid the continuing clashes between the military and Moro National Liberation Front rebels.

In a statement yesterday, the DTI said the SRP should serve as guide to retailers in pricing their goods and as price reference for the buying public.

The DTI’s price guide shows the SRP for 155 grams of canned sardines is between P12.50 to P13.25.

The SRP for 300 milliliter (ml) canned condensed milk is P49.60, while the recommended price for 370 ml evaporated milk is between P35.80 and P48.55.

The DTI’s recommended price for 150-gram powdered milk ranges from P45 to P49.95.

For a 50-gram pack of coffee, the SRP has been set at P33.50 to P39.50. For 420-gram detergent soap, the SRP is P19.50.

For 25-kilogram soft flour, the SRP ranges from P795 to P840, and for hard flour, P905 to P945.
