CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga , Philippines  â€“ Four armed men onboard two motorcycles shot and wounded a project engineer and carted away P245,000 he had just withdrawn from a bank in the City of San Fernando here Thursday.

Senior Superintendent Oscar Albayalde, Pampanga police director, said engineer Pedro Navarro, 43, who resides in Mexico town, had just withdrawn the money from a Land Bank of the Philippines branch when he was robbed.

Albayalde said Navarro was to deliver the money to his project manager at the San Fernando Elementary School when the robbers accosted him at the school’s gate.

Fearing for his life, Navarro handed over the money. However, before fleeing, one of the robbers shot him in the right hand and left leg, Albayalde said.
