Engineer gunned down

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines – An engineer working for the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) was shot dead by three motorcycle-riding men in Cabugao town in Ilocos Sur the other day.

Arnold Campos of the DPWH office based in Vigan City died while being rushed to the Metro Vigan Cooperative Hospital in Bantay town.

Superintendent Marlon Castillo, spokesman for the Ilocos Sur police office, said Campos was driving a motorcycle on his way to work when he was shot in Barangay Sagayaden.

Castillo said before fleeing, one of the gunmen alighted from the motorcycle and pumped more bullets into the victim.
