MANILA, Philippines - The hearing at the Makati City Regional Trial Court last Tuesday delved on medical and emergency cases of Janet Napoles, the alleged brains behind P10 billion pork barrel scam, the Philippine National Police said.
PNP spokesperson Senior Supt. Reuben Sindac said that the hearing before Judge Elmo Alameda of the Makati RTC branch 150 also discussed the clearances from concerned authorities if ever Napoles would be transferred to a hospital.
"May clearance first from doctor pa rin before ilabas papuntang hospital. All other reasons ng paglabas, [we] still need court order," Sindac said in a text message.
Meanwhile, Sindac said Napoles underwent an electro-cardio graph procedure around 10:30 a.m. after she suffered hypertension on her second day of detention at the Fort Sto. Domingo in Sta. Rosa, Laguna.
"(The) doctor on duty performed ECG procedure," he added.
After the medical procedure, the physician found Napoles' blood pressure and sugar level normal, Sindac said.
Napoles and her brother, Reynald Lim, are now facing serious illegal detention charges before the court. Lim, who has a P5-million bounty for his capture, remains at large.
