Napoles' health normalizes on 3rd day of detention

MANILA, Philippines - The health of Janet Napoles, the alleged brains behind the P10 billion pork barrel scam, has stabilized on her third day of detention at Fort Sto. Domingo in Laguna, the Philippine National Police said on Wednesday.

In a text message, the PNP said that as of 6:30 a.m. today, the vital signs of Napoles are "normal."

On her first day at the police camp, Napoles suffered an anxiety attack, with her blood pressure shooting up and her blood sugar level falling.

On the following day, Napoles experienced hypertension and complained of a "tingling sensation" on the side of her face.

Napoles was transferred from the Makati City jail to Fort Sto. Domingo in Sta. Rosa, Laguna on orders of the Makati City Court, where she is now facing serious illegal detention charges.

Authorities are still tracking down Napoles' brother, Reynald Lim, who is also facing the same charges before the the Makati court.
