Arrest orders out vs ex-PNP chief Razon, 32 others

MANILA, Phiippines - The Sandiganbayan has ordered the arrest of former Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Avelino Razon Jr. and 32 others in connection with the anomalous repair of several light armoured vehicles (LAV) in 2007.

Aside from Razon, the anti-graft court issued arrest warrants against former and incumbent PNP officials , including ex-PNP comptrollers Geary Barias and Eliseo de la Paz.

The court sid that the warrants were served on Wednesday to the respective addresses of the accused.

The Sandiganbayan's 4th Division found probable cause on the cases of malversation through falsification of public documents against the police officials regarding the repair and maintanenace of several LAVs in 2007.

The alleged anomalous transactions fetched a whopping P400 million.
