Grenade explodes in front of engineer's home in QC

MANILA, Philippines - A grenade exploded in front of the house of an engineer in Quezon City on Tuesday morning.

Quezon City Police District chief Richard Albano said the explosion happened at around 6 a.m., in front of the house of Engr. Reynaldo Fuentes of the FF Construction firm along Scout Fuentebella in Barangay Laging Handa.

The blast created a crater and damaged the gate of Fuentes' house and the rear tires of a Toyota Fortuner parked in the same area.

Fuentes and his family were not hurt.

Police said the grenade blast could have been intended for Fuentes and the motive for the attack could have been work-related.
