Dennis Carcamo - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Flooding in several areas in Metro Manila have already subsided, but some parts of the country's capital City remained inundated, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority reported on Wednesday.

The MMDA's monitoring center, Metrobase, said that as of 6:15 a.m., local  officials of  Makati, Taguig and Pasay have confirmed that flood waters have gone down, except for at least three barangays in Pasay City that were under knee-deep floodwaters.

SM City-Sucat is now passable as well as Roxas Boulevard, Metrobase added.

It, however, said that Lagusnilad underpass in Manila was still flooded.

Other areas that are still flooded and not passable to light vehicles in Manila include Taft-Remedios, Taft-Ocampo, Taft-Quirino, Otis-Unilever, Kalaw-Taft, Faura-Taft, Ayala Boulevard, San Marcelino.

The MMDA, meanwhile, announced in its official Twitter account that the number coding scheme is lifted today in line with the 30th death anniversary of Sen. Benigno Aquino Jr.
