2 charged for death of drug suspect
TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines – An incumbent municipal councilor and a son of the vice mayor of Dingras town were charged with murder before the Ilocos Norte prosecutor’s office for the killing of an alleged drug trafficker last week.
Nathaniel Taylan II was identified by the wife of the victim Glen Guerrero as the man whom her husband was talking to outside their home minutes before the killing.
Aside from Taylan, tagged as the triggerman in the killing, charged were Nelson Saguid, son of Dingras Vice Mayor Jeffrey Saguid, and Brixton Aquino, the alleged lookouts.
Dingras Mayor Erjo Valenzuela expressed disbelief over the development of the case. He said even before the victim was killed, he had warned him of his alleged involvement in drugs.
