Dutchman, Pinay lover arrested in cybersex den
BACOLOD CITY , Philippines – A Dutchman and his Filipina partner were arrested in a raid on a suspected cybersex den in Murcia town, Negros Occidental shortly after midnight yesterday.
Bartel Simon Eenkhoorn, 65, and his partner, Melody Bacaron, were charged with human trafficking before the Negros Occidental prosecutor’s office, Murcia police chief Senior Inspector Norberto Barniso said.
The suspects are currently detained at the town police detention cell.
Police said three of the eight victims were minors, and one was reportedly caught engaging in sex chat with a customer during the raid.
A police team raided the suspects’ rented house in Barangay Cansilayan and recovered six desktop and laptop computers, a digital camera and a video camera.
Records from the Bureau of Immigration showed that Eenkhoorn, who returned to the country in February this year, has a “balikbayan status†that would expire next year.
Some of the victims told the police they were hired as househelpers but were later made to entertain customers online.
The victims are in the custody of the municipal government pending their turnover to the Department of Social Welfare and Development.
