Fake P500K Northface products seized in Davao

Camille Diola - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - The Intellectual Property Rights Division of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) confiscated fake outdoor products illegally labeled Northface worth P500,000 in Gaisano Mall.

The NBI team said that the operation last July 31 was part of its campaign against counterfeit products found throughout in the country.

Four outlets of DSG Sons Group, Inc. located in four floors in the mall along JP Laurel Avenue were raided.

The stores were found to be selling imitation Northface bags, socks, jackets, caps, sweaters, long-sleeved polo shirts and jogging pants violative of trademark infringement rule under the Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines.

The raid was conducted after the NBI obtained search warrants from Acting Presiding Judge Lyliha L. Abella-Aquino of the Manila Regional Trial Court, Branch 24, the NBI said. - Camille Diola
