Cotabato doctor survives slay try

COTABATO CITY, Philippines – Motorcycle-riding men wounded a neurologist in an ambush here Tuesday night, in what could be another unsolved shooting in this city.

The victim, Dr. Remus Magabilen, was driving home on his Ford Explorer from the Polymedic Medical Center when he was shot along Gov. Gutierrez Avenue with .45-caliber pistols.

Magabilen, hit in the left arm, managed to drive himself to the Cotabato Regional Medical Center, as his attackers fled after the gunshots attracted the attention of barangay watchmen.
