MANILA, Philippines - The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) on Thursday assured President Benigno Aquino III's fourth State of the Nation Address on July 22 will be peaceful and orderly.
Chief Inspector Kimberly Molitas-Gonzales, NCRPO spokesperson, said that they are now drafting security measures for Aquino's SONA and part of it is the review of footage of past confrontations between policemen and protesters.
Gonzales said that the NCRPO would like to come up with a plan where policemen will be able to contain the tension outside the Batasan Pambansa complex in Quezon City, where protesters hold protest actions during the SONA.
Security measures for the Batasan Pambansa complex are also being ironed out by the authorities.
