Negros Occidental pols invited to unity event

Danny B. Dangcalan - The Philippine Star

BACOLOD CITY, Philippines – Poll winners and losers in Negros Occidental are encouraged to leave the bitter experiences of the May 13 elections by reconciling with each other in a signing ceremony today.

Dubbed “A Call for Reconciliation, Solidarity and Good Governance in Negros Occidental,” the signing ceremonies will be held at 4 p.m. at the Negros Occidental Multi-Purpose Activity Center here.

The activity is a multi-sectoral effort that aims to reconcile feuding candidates in Negros Occidental, put an end to their political conflicts of the recent polls, and usher in unity and good governance.

It will include messages and prayers from representatives of various sectors, and a pledge from elected local officials, organizers said.
