NFA employee hurt, son dead in Zambo ambush

ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines – An employee of the National Food Authority (NFA), along with two others, was wounded while his son was killed in an ambush yesterday morning in Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur, authorities said.

NFA employee Radzak Bago sustained multiple gunshot wounds while his son Jameril was killed. Police did not immediately identify Bago’s bodyguard and a NFA laborer who were also wounded in the attack.

Senior Superintendent Julius Muñez, Zamboanga del Sur police director, said Bago was on board his car along with his son who was driving it and his aide when they were waylaid by two men armed with M-16 rifles barely a few meters away from the NFA office in Pagadian City.
