Batangas City suspends elementary, HS classes due to rains

MANILA, Philippines - Classes in elementary and high school were suspended in Batangas City on Friday due to heavy rains.

Viicente Tomasar, director of the Office of Civil Defense in Calabarzon, said that the Batangas City government declared the suspension of classes.

"Batangas City informed us that due to heavy rains, they decided to suspend classes in the elementary and high school levels," Tomasar said.

Tomasar said that classes in private elementary and high schools were also suspended.
