Marijuana bricks seized in bus station in Baguio

BAGUIO CITY, Philippines -   Authorities seized a Manila-bound shipment of marijuana bricks midnight  Tuesday.

Baguio City policemen  received an alert from a security guard at the Victory Liner terminal in Marcoville barangay, leading to the confiscation of six   marijuana bricks weighing 4.350 kilos and have an estimated value of  P108,750.00.

Baguio City police director Sr. Supt. Jesus Cambay said they received a call from security guard Rommel Ollero that they seized the marijuana shipment from an unidentified passenger who tried to sneak in the illegal susbtance to a Manila-bound bus midnight Tuesday.

Cambay said the male suspect tried to enter the main gate of the Victory Liner but refused to let his baggage to undergo inspection by the security guards.

The guards held on to the baggage while the suspect left  unnoticed.

The marijuana bricks were turned over to the PDEA.
