ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines –  Members of a search and retrieval team recovered yesterday the bodies of three more victims of a landslide in Kabasalan town, Zamboanga Sibugay.

The victims were identified as Sherlyn Mae Maghanoy, 7; her brother Eziquel Meziah, 3, and their cousin Eugene, 9. Last Sunday, the rescue team found the body of Fatima, 12, a sister of Eugene.

Senior Inspector Rico Pondol, chief of Kabasalan police, said members of the 44th Infantry Battalion and local officials found Sherlyn Mae and Eziquel embracing each other.

The four children took refuge at an abandoned house at the foot of the hill when the landslide occurred following heavy rain last May 28 in Barangay Sayaw.
