3 NPA rebels slain in Ifugao clash

BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya , Philippines – At least three New People’s Army (NPA) guerrillas were killed in an encounter with government troops in a remote village in Ifugao province yesterday morning.
The Army’s Isabela-based 5th Infantry Division said three M-16 and two M-14 Armalite rifles and an M203 grenade launcher were seized following the firefight with at least 20 NPA rebels in Butac village in Aguinaldo town.
