Ring leader, minor nabbed in drug bust in Pangasinan
MANILA, Philippines - An alleged leader of a notorious drug ring and a minor were arrested by operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency during a buy-bust operation in Dagupan City, Pangasinan.
PDEA director general Arturo Cacdac Jr. said Allanoden Mustapha, also known as Salonga Naga, 46; and a sixteen year old minor were arrested by PDEA Regional Office agents last May 21 after selling heat- sealed transparent plastic sachet of suspected shabu to an operative along Perez Boulevard, Dagupan City.
Confiscated pieces from the two were four pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu, two motorcycles and a P500-bill used as marked money.
Cacdac said Mustapha is the leader of the neutralized Basilan Drug Group and was included in the PDEA list of High Value Target drug personalities.
Mustapha was arrested during the implementation of Oplan Avatar 2 in 2011, but posted bail for illegal drugs possession charges.
PDEA is now preparing fresh drug charges against Mustapha while his minor companion has been turned over to the custody of the Dagupan Social Development and Welfare Office.
