Pasig cop nabbed for rape of 14-year-old girl

MANILA, Philippines - Police have arrested a cop based in Pasig City for allegedly raping a 14-year-old girl last week right inside a police precinct.

Police Officer 2 Ryan Concepcion was arrested by operatives of Women and Children's Police Desk-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group last May 3.

Concepcion is now facing charges of violation of  Republic Act 8353 (Anti Rape Law) and Republic Act 7610 (Anti-Child Abuse Law).

The operation stemmed from a complaint of a 14-year-old girl of Santolan Pasig City who was allegedly sexually abused by Concepcion last May 2 at around 3 p.m. inside the Police Community Precinct 24.

Aside from the criminal charges, Concepcion, now detained at the CIDG jail facility, will also face an administrative case. - Dennis Carcamo
