4 hurt in QC road mishap

MANILA, Philippines - Four persons, including a policeman, were hurt on Friday after a sports utility vehicle rammed the post of the Metro Rail Transit in Quezon City.

Reports said  Police Officer 2 Alexander Lim and Nemecio Espineli were rushed by a taxi driver to the East Avenue Medical Center while Jose Biwag and Conrado delos Santos,  both security personnel , were discharged after a check up at the Quezon City General Hospital.

Witnesses said the four were on board a black Toyota Fortuner without a license plate speeding southbound along Edsa when suddendly the vehicle's left tire hit the gutter before the vehicle rammed the MRT post near the Trinoma Mall.

Due to the impact, the vehicle turned turtle, reports added.

Based on the initial check by the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority, the vehicle is registered to a certain Isabel Suntay.

MMDA personnel also found an election flyer bearing the name and image of the incumbent mayor of Tarlac City inside the  vehicle.
