TUGUEGARAO CITTY, Philippines – After eight years in hiding, a former village chief wanted for the killing of a mother and son over a long-standing grudge finally fell in San Isidro, Isabela last Monday.

The suspect, Nelson Antonio, a former barangay head in Tayug, Pangasinan, did not resist arrest when policemen cornered him in a relative’s house in Barangay Rizal, San Isidro town, said Superintendent Narciso Paragas, Isabela police spokesman.

Antonio is facing double murder charges for the killing of Lourdes Paga, 51, and her son Joel, 26.
