Cops kill resisting drugs suspect in Caloocan

MANILA, Philippines - Police shot and killed a suspected drug peddler in Caloocan City on Tuesday morning.

Chief Inspector Romero Ricalde Jr. of the Northern Police District identified the slain suspect as Michael Ignacio.

Ricalde said that they were serving an arrest warrant for Ignacio when the suspect fired at the policemen.

The policemen fired back and killed the suspect, he said.

The police said that Ignacio is one of the most wanted persons in the Camanava area (Caloocan, Malabon, Navotas and Valenzuela) for his involvement in drug activities and robbery incidents.

Seized from the suspect's possession were a .45 pistol, a .38 revolver and a grenade.
