Jeepney rams 3 men in Antipolo

MANILA, Philippines - A passenger jeepney struck a group of people after losing its brakes along a highway in Antipolo City on Monday morning.

Three people were hurt in the accident and two of them have been rushed to the Amang Rodriguez Medical Center in Marikina City.

Initial investigations showed that the Antipolo-Marikina route jeepney, driven by Leodis Salga, was speeding along Sumulong Highway in Barangay dela Paz, Antipolo past 9 a.m. when it lost its brakes.

The vehicle hit the three men before hitting a mango tree in the area.

Police are now readying a case of reckless imprudence resulting in multiple injury against the jeepney driver.
