8 hurt in Quezon mishap

ATIMONAN, Quezon, Philippines – Eight persons were injured when a truck rammed a passenger van in Barangay Sta. Catalina on Friday night.

The wounded were identified as Lara Barizo, Iluminado Barizo, Renz Perillo, Solomon Perillo, Anthony Pajarillo, Richard Clacio  and Joey Bongabong, all passengers of the van, and Roldan Oguis, the truck driver.

Senior Superintendent Dionardo Carlos, town police chief, said the Mitsubishi L-300 van driven by Clacio was heading for Manila from Bicol when it was bumped by the truck.

The victims were brought to Doña Martha Memorial District Hospital and Emil Joanna General Hospital for treatment.
