Iloilo fiscal’s son, 2 pals yield guns

ILOILO CITY, Philippines   â€“ A son of the provincial prosecutor and two companions were arrested in Barotac Nuevo, Iloilo for violating the election gun ban, police said.

The three – Bercel Dusaban, 32, son of fiscal Bernabe Dusaban; and Francisco Alamon, 47, and Victor Polmones, 49, both Barotac Nuevo municipal employees – yielded handguns when they were accosted.

Senior Superintendent Gil Lebin, provincial police director, said the three were nabbed after residents of Barangay Sohoton alerted the police about motorcycle-riding men roaming around their village.
