MANILA, Philippines - Police arrested on Monday four men, including two Filipino-Chinese, during a sting operation in Quezon City, confiscating an estimated P250-million worth of illegal drugs.
Police identified the suspects as Mark Hwe and Onorato Contigo, both Filipino-Chinese, and James Rosales and Crisologo Fuzon.
Senior Inspector Roberto Razon, leader of the Quezon City Police District's anti-narcotics team that conducted the raid, said that they initially seized 1.5 kilograms of shabu from the suspects.
The raid was conducted in Barangay Manresa in Quezon City.
Further inspection of the suspects' vehicles, however, yielded more bags of illegal drugs. He said a total of 40 bags were seized from the suspects.
Senior Superintendent Richard Albano, director of the QCPD, said that the drugs seized from the suspects weigh between 45 and 50 kilograms that has a street value of P250-million.
Albano said that the four men have been under police surveillance for two months.- Dennis Carcamo
