Laborer killed as scaffolding collapses

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines   â€“ A 39-year-old laborer was killed and a colleague was seriously hurt when the scaffolding of a house they were building in Batangas City collapsed last Saturday morning, police said

Construction worker Efren Manlunas was declared dead on arrival at the Jesus of Nazareth General Hospital. His fellow laborer, Ryan Buenaventura Gacura, 21, is recuperating from several injuries.
