Abu Sayyaf man with P1-M bounty falls in Basilan

ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines  â€“ A mid-level leader of the Abu Sayyaf with a P1-million bounty was captured in his safehouse in Basilan on Thursday morning, authorities said.

The suspect, Abdulla Kallitut, had a standing warrant of arrest for nine counts of murder issued by the Regional Trial Court Branch 1 in Isabela City, Basilan, according to the Regional Intelligence Unit (RIU).

Kallitut was cornered in his hideout in Barangay Riverside in Isabela City by joint elements of the RIU under Task Force Sanglahi, the 53rd Special Action Company of the Special Action Force, the Basilan police, and National Bureau of Investigation.
