MANILA, Philippines - A Catholic bishop on Tuesday belittled the results of the latest Social Weather Stations survey showing that most poor Filipinos are "satisfied" with living conditions.
Lingayen-Dagupan Archbishop emeritus Oscar Cruz said he has yet to talk with a poor man who is satisfied with what he has.
He also pointed out that the survey results in the country depend on who commissioned it.
Archbishop Cruz also said the poll firms have been losing their credibility because of the contradicting results on what is really happening.
The latest SWS survey showed that four out of five Filipinos, in class and D and E, or 81 percent are "satisfied" with their living conditions.
