4.4 quake jolts Surigao Norte

MANILA, Philippines -A magnitude 4.4 earthquake rocked Surigao del Norte yesterday but did not cause any damage or injuries, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.

The tremor happened at 2:09 a.m. with its epicenter traced at 12 kilometers northwest of Malimono, Surigao del Norte, Phivolcs said.

It was felt at intensity 4 in Surigao City and Malimono, and intensity 3 in Mainit, Surigao del Norte.
